Food digestibility, tamagoyaki, pasta (!)...
Digestibility…
One of the heartiest laughs I’ve had was an AI-adjudicated disagreement about the digestibility of pasta. In my mind, pasta = easily digested, but for some reason my wife thought there was more to it, so we asked Google Gemini to help adjudicate (and, in fairness, I may have made the prompt a bit leading).
General observations about digestibility while on my particular chemo regime:
- pasta ✅
- Eggs in any form (tamagoyaki, French omelette, country omelette, fried, soft-boiled, …) ✅
- Potato-based stuff ✅
- soups (yum!) ✅
- Thai food (memorably enjoyable meal at Zaap at the end of cycle 5) ✅ - excellent at making it through to my tastebuds
- legumes, many kinds of beans, pulses ❌ (best avoided early in cycle)
- randomly: beyond meat burger ❌ (probably just a matter of timing)
- stuff heavy in fibre ❌ (can’t wait to get back to that, but tricky during treatment)
