I decided to go back to making things and see how wood carving works out. It turns out that it is a ton of fun.

Trying out a spokeshave to plane a piece of green wood. I still need to find a better way to fix the pieces in place, maybe using a Swedish lap vise, which uses cords and simple pieces of wood to create a flexible way to hold spoons and other things in place.
